There are things we keep hidden. These secrets we keep because they are nefarious in nature or too humiliating or perhaps expose us for who we really are. If those dark parts of us are revealed there can be consequences. For some those consequences can be severe and deadly.
Chris meets Teagan and begins a whirlwind romance. The fact they both choose to share very little about their pasts suits them for different reasons. Teagan does charity endowment work and dislikes discussing her job because she hates it and is hoping to make a career change soon. Chris claims his work to be too dull therefore unworthy of discussion.
Their lies and omissions will begin to unravel in a conference room of the CIA and on the ground of a terrorist training camp in Africa. Chris and Teagan love one another but is it enough? Every lie has a consequence and it may be they die paying for it.

I got this as a freebie and wasn't sure what to expect but was more than pleasantly surprised! The characters were well developed and likeable, the plot was unpredictable and exciting, the romance was fun without being gag-worthy, and the violence was just enough to make you cringe without making you outright barf. I can hardly believe this is a first book because it's much better than some of the bestsellers I've read lately. My only complaint is that the punctuation could have been edited a bit better, but otherwise I loved it and look forward to the next one. Highly recommend!Product details

Very good read well written and very enjoyable.
I loved this book. I couldn't put it down. It has a great flow to the story and keeps the reader engaged. I wish we could have had more foreshadowing leading up to the pivotal act. It felt a little out of the blue. This is a great freshman outing for the author. I am looking forward to the next book. Worth the read.
Great book very suspenseful
Great intrigue...Mystery and romance in one book...twists and turns that kept you guessing. In my case, the wrong one.
The story has some good intrigue and drama, but the lack of editing often made it confusing to read. The ending was abrupt and left a few questions dangling.
